My friend, Russ, is back with another very informative video. This video is a very good run down of the Internet of Things (IoT) and how this technology can produce positive changes in our society and how it is improving our lives.
My favorite example is how the city of Barcelona transformed itself into a Smart City. They used their Street lamps to do more than just light up streets at night, they were used to manage traffic, monitor air pollution and even to provide WiFi. They also saved a lot of money on electric bills as sensors could adjust lighting based on the presence of people and the time of delay.
