I caught up with one of my old friends, Russ Munisteri, who I grew up with on Long Island, from way back in the day. He’s a YouTube star now! And not only does he teach cybersecurity, he gives some great recommendations on what tools you can use to secure your computer.
Most importantly he explains the why. What information hackers are looking for and how they can use it against you to empty out bank accounts, trash your credit, steal confidential corporate information you may have on your computer… and the list goes on and on.
A virtual private network: a must have when you use public Wi-Fi, access personal and work accounts on the road, or want to keep your browsing history to yourself.
A password manager: the easiest way to store and use strong passwords. Log in to sites and fill forms securely with a single click.
But you’ve gotta watch the video because the devil is in the details. A lot of little things you need to do to secure all the many different accounts we use online.
