Those of us who hangout in IRC chats and online through Social Media knew this day was coming.
Maybe you heard some of your techy friends dropping cryptic messages about how things are going to get a lot worse in this country before they get better and you had no clue what they meant. I know I was one of those people who was dropping those hints…
Now, a day after over 500-700 people get arrested in Downtown Manhattan, it looks like Phase 1 of a plan by Anonymous, the incredibly powerful hacker activist group, is well under way. It’s called #OccupyWallStreet.
While twitter is being used as a tool to organize the #OccupyWallStreet protests, many Social Media experts on G+ are just starting to wake up to the story and getting involved. Facebook users are still completely in the dark. They may never get it.
If you haven’t noticed, Bank of America’s website has been down for days. Anonymous has been rumored to be behind this. Certain NYPD employees have been targeted by Anonymous for their part in attacking peaceful protesters. The #OccupyWallStreet hashtag on twitter refuses to trend although it’s clearly the top trending topic in the tri-state area. J.P. Morgan Chase reportedly “donates” $4.6 Million to the NYPD recently and Chase is also rumored to have a 10% stake in twitter. This can’t be confirmed directly.
A war has clearly started. A movement has clearly begun…
Anonymous does not make its plans secret though. You can reference this video… It can explain what’s going on better than me. A movement has been born in the last two weeks and it’s growing fast! I did see this coming but didn’t think it would get so big so fast! Come November, I can’t predict what’s going to happen next. It’s starting to build up into another Civil Rights Movement, only this time the most powerful hacker activist group ever has an excellent chance of shutting down the US Government…
