“Un troppo caro per il area, ma le viste e bellissima!”

“Too expensive for the area, but the views are beautiful!”

Scilla, a stunning Calabrian coastal town, boasts breathtaking views—think cliffs, turquoise seas, and the charming Chianalea village, dubbed “Little Venice.” Steeped in Odyssey myth, it’s a visual feast, from Ruffo Castle to Marina Grande. But is it “un po’ troppo caro per l’area”—too expensive for the area? In peak season, seafront hotels and swordfish dinners can feel pricey for Calabria, though still cheaper than Amalfi. The tradeoff? Unforgettable beauty. The views sono bellissime, and for that, it’s worth every euro.

Next time I will stay away from the paid tours. They pack in far too much and you don’t get to spend much time in each location.
