Baseball Bloggers Alliance Day

Today, December 10th, has been designated Baseball Bloggers Alliance Day. The purpose of this day is to raise awareness of this organization, both amongst bloggers and those that enjoy reading baseball on the internet. I happen to be in both categories. I blog part time for the MetsReport.com and really enjoy perusing the many other baseball blogs currently being listed in the Baseball Bloggers Alliance. As a Mets fan I regularly go to quite a few blogs and here are three of my favorites listed in no particular order:

Citifield at Night

Citifield at Night, originally uploaded by DVdaniels. I attended the Mets game last night and this may be the best picture I have gotten of the park in quite some time. The low cloud cover adds an excellent effect. What do you think?

Johan Santana Bullpen Session

I attended the Mets Game 7/11/10, Johan Santana against Derrick Lowe of the Atlanta Braves and also met up with fellow Mets bloggers Dave Doyle of the MetsReport.com and Kerel Cooper of Mets blog OnTheBlack.com. Kerel is also competing in WFAN’s Fantasy Phenom’s competition. Basically an American Idol for the radio industry and has made it onto the next round. You can see his 2 min judging here… And this latest video is of a bullpen session by Johan Santana. You can catch the starting pitchers

Derek Jeter is wearing the shirt of the winning team. ;) OK, so I had a little fun with a Derek Jeter cardboard cutout. It’s not the “REAL” Derek Jeter. And if you were thinking “I want a Life Size Cardboard Cutout of Derek” you can find one here… Whether or not the Mets win this series I will get

Live Baseball On Your iPhone

I was playing around with the MLB.com At Bat 2010 iPhone app last night. It’s kind of pricey for an app at $14.99 but after using it for the last week I think it’s a steal. Not only can you listen to any game you want, you also have up to date, real time information on scores from every single game around the majors. You also have access to the standings which is something no other baseball related app I have reviewed can do. MLB allows you to watch 1 free… Read More
