I’ve been tweeting for a few years now — tech news, social media, sports, the occasional Mets take — mostly just because I enjoy it. So it came as a genuine surprise when I opened Newsday recently and found my name and face staring back at me in their Follow LI column: One to Watch on Twitter.
“David Daniels is a Long Island-based tech blogger with an active following. Daniels tweets about tech-related news, social media and sports.” — Newsday, Follow LI column, 2013
The column runs in Newsday’s print edition and highlights Long Island Twitter accounts worth following. Being featured was, honestly, a little surreal — but I’ll take it.
I’ve always tried to keep my Twitter feed useful — sharing stories I’d actually want to read, not just noise. If a few more Long Islanders find it worth following because of this, that’s a win. And if you’re here because you spotted the column — welcome. Stick around. I promise not to make it boring.
To everyone who already follows along: thank you. This kind of recognition doesn’t happen without an audience that actually engages. I’m grateful, and a little humbled.
