A Little About Me
I am not a blogger. 😉 At least I tell myself that daily. I just happen to have a business background, know how to setup and market a website and make a little extra income off of it. I have previously worked in business management for many years and was so successful at it that towards the end of my management career I was traveling all over the southeastern United States and getting directly involved in the training and developing of other managers. But then I came home and really wanted to finish an unfinished project of mine called, my college degree which I did finish in 2009.
I’m now currently exploring new opportunities. I have quite a few projects going on in the design area, working a few marketing campaigns and consulting on various projects that have come my way. Technology has finally progressed to the point I can accept and collaborate on projects from most anywhere in the world and this looks to be the future of the workplace.
Current Project: Mapping out viable hotspots on Long Island that can double as mobile offices. My definition of a mobile office is a spot you can sit down with your laptop, offers free internet access and an electrical outlet for long term work. Restaurants, coffee houses and hotel lobbies make excellent mobile offices. If you would like to participate in this project or would like to see what hotspots I have found so far the spreadsheet I’m working off of can be found here. If you have a favorite spot on Long Island that is not on the list, either email it to me or drop a comment. I will gladly add it. I happen to be an optimum WiFi customer so let me know if access is available to that network too.
About the Guy
I can’t seem to live without my laptop or my iPhone. I love to plan, organize and design simple websites. I’m constantly testing new applications on my iPhone. This is a hobby of mine. I’m into everything Google. My business career has made me a natural for digging into all the numbers Google Analytics throws at me. Digital photography seems to also be my thing along with Photoshop, one of my favorite and most heavily used programs.
I’m also a lifelong Met’s fan. Besides a brief period of Euphoria in the 80’s it’s been heartbreak and agida ever since. Hope springs eternal and this year I’m holding out some hope for my favorite team.
About Me 2.0
Even though I have a day job, the blogging experience has filled a need for me to be creative. I am a member of Long Island Bloggers, a group on Linkedin to promote blogging on Long Island and I look forward to writing about technology, education, my iPhone and most anything else I find amusing. I would also like to eventually move to the mac platform so I can do more video editing.
I look forward to writing about my journey through life and will attempt to document about 2% of it here on my personal website. My website door is always open. Stop by again…..
