My Tech Cred is Shot! Or is it?

My Tech Cred is Shot! Or is it?

After upgrading my laptop to Windows 7 I was in awe at how fast the computer ran. I had given up on few programs like Microsoft Outlook in favor of the Gmail Cloud email client and I was moving most of my work to the cloud instead of spending hundreds of dollars to upgrade programs that just seem to always crash because they are such memory hogs. I was also trying to avoid spending thousands of dollars upgrading equipment that could handle...

Christmasfy iPhone App

Christmasfy iPhone App

Just tried the Christmasfy iPhone app. The app is listed as free and has a lot of options for “Christmasfying” a picture. Unfortunately it’s a tease. I went to add additional graphics to my picture and was told I needed to purchase an upgrade. What!?! The Halloween app was completely free! Pay for this? No way! Here is my Christmasfy’d picture anyway with the free graphics. Yes, I know. What is Santa doing in...

Fun in a Cemetery…

Having even more fun with my iPhone here. On Sunday’s I usually run or take a walk thru the local Cemetery just down the block. Sounds creepy, I know, but it’s much closer than the closest park and it’s very quiet. Great place to clear your head. Carrying an iPhone around though kinda defeats the purpose. I did almost get lost but the GPS saved me yet again. Here are 20 shots and a screenshot of a walkthru of my...

Car Wash for the Holidays!

I bought my car yesterday, (just turned it from a lease to a buy, I’ve actually already had it for 3 years) and decided to take it to the Car Wash to celebrate. Since I tried out Animoto on my last video and liked it I decided to try out the Animoto iPhone App. 10 pictures from my iPhone were used for this short (and free!) presentation. Some of the pictures I was able to Photoshop thru my Photoshop iPhone app. Some I left as is....

Macy’s Parade 2009

Macy’s Parade 2009

Mickey Mouse, originally uploaded by DVdaniels. I usually go to the Macy’s Parade if the weather cooperates. This year the weather was pretty good and considering the economy, the parade is a great bargain. For me it’s the price of a train ticket and a coffee. This year it was 3 close friends and a Starbucks Gingerbread Latte (Free Plug!) as my early morning company. We got to Penn Station around 6am and walked a few blocks...

Heroes of the Economy

I tweeted this article just a few minutes ago, “Heroes of The Economy“, because in my opinion we don’t have enough heroes in the business world today. Most businesses worry about the bottom line and the workers on the bottom of the corporate ladder get saddled with either more work or layoffs. “Just be lucky you have a job”, is the new corporate mantra. So say hello to the new heroes of the economy. I’m...

North Fork, Long Island

North Fork, Long Island

I can now cross something else off my list of things to do this year. I drove out and stood at the very end of Long Island this weekend. The North Fork of Long Island to be exact. Despite what you see on the Verizon commercials, AT&T has the best service out on Long Islands North Fork. 5 bars under 3g conditions and Cablevision wireless to boot if your a Cablevision subscriber. Got pictures to prove it! I was even able to write...

Auto-Tune – Making the Tone Deaf into Singers

Auto-Tune – Making the Tone Deaf into Singers

I can sing! Thanks to Auto-Tune technology. Of course if your in the music industry you already know all about Auto-Tune and most likely use it yourself. For the rest of us, here is Auto-Tune 101, actually found this video in my list of subscriptions emailed to me this week and found this video to be incredibly informative.  So much so that I purchased the “I am T-Pain” iPhone app to play with. The Rocketboom Institute for...
