Recently, I received a series of emails from an unfamiliar address featuring a mix of intriguing and clearly AI-generated images. I won’t include them all here since there were a lot of people in them and I am not fully convinced they are real people but the landscape pics I will include. Initially, the creativity of the visuals caught my eye, but it soon became clear that the emails were promoting a YouTube channel that didn’t interest me.
Despite my lack of interest in the channel, the experience highlighted an interesting marketing approach. As many people are scaling back their social media use or abandoning it altogether, this method stands out. By bypassing traditional social media and using direct email with engaging images, marketers can capture attention in a unique way.
The use of AI-generated visuals adds a creative twist, making the emails feel more interactive than typical ads. This strategy aims to cut through social media clutter and offer something fresh and personal.
While the campaign didn’t fully resonate with me, it’s clear that exploring alternative marketing channels can be effective. As digital media evolves, these unconventional tactics might provide valuable insights into connecting with audiences in new and engaging ways.
But be careful… you may just be talking or emailing with an AI that is gathering information on you.
