Another interesting article in the Washington Post. Facebook reminds me of AOL. AOL also wanted to be "the internet". AOL was actually known as a walled internet and it took a while for newbies to the internet to realize there was a much more vibrant internet outside those walls.

Most people I talked to about the new Messenger app were outraged that Facebook has access to everything on their phones so everyone is now a privacy expert and going around encouraging each other to delete the Facebook Messenger app. "Privacy Experts" agree that the app has access to your camera, photo's, your location data, everything you post to Facebook, all your contacts info and all your personal info which users themselves freely give up. How did this happen!?!?!?
