I only made this video for one reason and one reason only… I wanted to get a shot of the quote that is posted at the entrance of the Marina. It sums up the essence of NY very well (with the exception of the mention of a record store which there aren’t many of anymore) and I wanted to index it on my blog.

The quote goes as follows: City of the World for all Races are here. All the lands of the Earth make contributions here. City of the sea, city of Wharves and Stores, city of tall facades of marble and iron.

Proud and passionate city, mettlesome, mad, extravagant city!

Now if I can just figure out who wrote it?
