The Amish Project. One Young Man’s Experiment to unplug from Social Media. Sadly I think my generation, generation X was the last generation to grow up without Social Media. The internet was born in 1989, the same year I graduated from High School. A few years later the first truly mobile phones came out along [...]

Tomorrow the Internet Goes Dark… Last month the internet community went into overdrive. Congress attempted to sneak in and pass a bill called SOPA, the Stop Online Piracy Act. Many times this tactic works. Present a bill during the holidays and watch it get passed because too many informed citizens are well into celebrating their holiday festivities. [...]

One of the most odd stories I came across this past week was Google’s position on Internet Access. Google, the company whose motto is “Don’t Be Evil” released this quote from their Vice President: Internet access, while an enabler of basic human rights, is not itself a human right, says Google Vice President Vinton Cerf. “There is a high bar for something to be [...]

I’m reposting this in it’s entirety from the Huffington Post. Corporate media has declared war on Social Media and is making a blatant attempt to severely limit what we can share online. . It’s the single biggest threat of our lifetime! . Without Social Media, government and corporations can run around unchecked, taking down whatever website they please [...]
