November 15th, 2009 by David Daniels under Long Island

I can now cross something else off my list of things to do this year.

I drove out and stood at the very end of Long Island this weekend. The North Fork of Long Island to be exact. Despite what you see on the Verizon commercials, AT&T has the best service out on Long Islands North Fork. 5 bars under 3g conditions and Cablevision wireless to boot if your a Cablevision subscriber.

Got pictures to prove it! I was even able to write this posting from an AT&T wireless access point when I stopped for lunch in Riverhead.

UPDATE 11/29/09: Made a video out of the pictures, screenshots and video clips I shot throughout the trip.

Hope everyone else is enjoying their weekends. Another week of great weather coming up. Enjoy!

I love it! Especially the screenshots proving you were standing on the very tip of Long Island. Who gave you that idea? lol

  2. Hold the power button and main button on the front of the iPhone down at the same time. It will take a screenshot of the phone and store it in your pictures. Thanks for the comment!

Screenshots of your position on Google! That’s original. I’m going to try it myself. I have Cablevision too so I’m glad it works all the way out on the east end of LI.
