I had no idea this movie was out and only found out about this movie when it became a top topic on twitter. Has this movie even had an advertising campaign? Have to go see it. If you have seen it, I would love to hear what you thought? Is it worth the time and money or should I wait until it comes out on video?
“Update 5/15/09″ ~ I got a chance to see District 9 today just as the first summer heat wave set in and amazingly I can update the blog from the iPhone all in this brutal heat. What fun!
Takes about 45 minutes for the plot to take shape and once it does the movie becomes incredibly interesting. District 9 is very violent, takes place in South Johannesburg, South Africa, pits warlords against the military, both trying to acquire alien weaponry. The effects are very similar to the transformers but on a smaller scale and don’t look for the good guys to win in this one, they don’t but the story is left open for a sequel. A district 10? I highly recommend.

Awesome! Now having nightmares. Seems to real and could happen at anytime. Very Violent and of course us humans only wanted their weapons! You have to see!
I don’t think there was an advertising campaign, I don’t remember seeing any commercials either but who needs one when it’s all over twitter and youtube. Seems to be the future of the advertising campaign and a lot cheaper.
