A quick video I put together (and I mean quick!) where at the last minute I was convinced to attend the Macy’s Fireworks Show over the Jones Beach Fireworks Show.
I have to admit, when I go to the Jones Beach Fireworks Show, I end up getting to the beach at around 10am just to get a good parking spot, then I’m stuck there the whole day. With the Macy’s show I took the train in at 4pm, had dinner with a close friend, did some sightseeing and then around 8:30 headed over to the Hudson. Immediately after we sat down and had dinner.
I am going to have to make this a tradition since it was so easy to get to and I didn’t lose a whole day to attend. Also not being attached to a car is nice! Overall, if you have to pick between the Jones Beach Fireworks Show and the Macy’s Fireworks show, bring a beach chair on the train and relax. It doesn’t get any easier than that!
